What types of people do you work with?

I specialize in helping individuals (usually women) looking to accomplish any or all of the following – weight loss, increasing energy levels, healthy meal planning, reducing stress, decreasing intake of processed foods, reducing toxins  and living a more whole & balanced life.

How do I know if I will benefit from health coaching?

Having a health coach help you navigate the myriad of dietary theories, recommend food and lifestyle suggestions and just listen to your concerns has far reaching benefits.  Having a coach on your side, cheering you on and holding you accountable for your actions is what helps people realize their health goals. 

What happens during the course of our coaching sessions?

Typically, we’ll start by getting a snapshot of your current situation, health issues, health history and where you want to go in regards to your health. We’ll clarify your ambitions and goals.  We’ll also work to identify key barriers to your health, common frustrations, areas where you tend to get stuck.  At the end of each session, we will talk through simple steps and action items to keep you moving forward between sessions.  Most sessions tend to last 45-50 mins. All information is kept 100% confidential. At the conclusion of our work together, we’ll recap your progress & identify how you can best sustain what you’ve learned as you move onward in life

Do you accept clients that aren’t local and would need to have sessions over the phone?

Absolutely. Many of my clients are stay at home moms or busy professionals so we meet around your schedule via Zoom, Skype or FaceTime. Our program may be structured slightly differently than it would be for local clients, but you can achieve the same success as you would with in-person sessions. The only downside to remote coaching is that one-on-one cooking instruction, grocery store tours & kitchen clean-outs are not included. However, I do provide you with information and videos on how to do this on your own. 

Do i have to give up everything I love to eat and instead live off smoothies and salads all the time?

Hell no, I want you to enjoy life. I also know that telling someone what they should be eating isn't the answer. Together we look at what will work and what won't for your health goals. You decide what you are willing to change and what you want to incorporate. I have a meet you where you are at sort of approach to health coaching. Baby steps.

How do I know if health coaching is for me?

Health coaching is great for anyone ready and inspired to make changes in their life but unsure of how to get started. Health coaches take the time to listen to your unique concerns and help you identify goals, strategies and solutions that work for you. There is no “one size fits all” approach to health. A Health Coach will help you navigate the world of contradictory nutritional advice to identify exactly what will work for your body and your needs.

Can you tell me more about your certification?

I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutritions cutting-edge Health Coaching Training Program. During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities. My health coaching training along with my background in Environmental Science has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce sustainable results for them and the planet.

How do we work together if I live in a different time zone?

Geography should not be the primary factor in finding the right coach. I’m based in the Switzerland, but I coach clients around the world, including those in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and Switzerland. I welcome clients from anywhere in the world as long as you’re proficient in English, my primary language (wish I could speak more!).

We often have our sessions over Zoom, Skype or phone anyway.  If you live local to me in Lenzburg, I also have an office you are welcome to stop by for a session.  Complete with coffee or tea.
